Episode 15: Funny or Not Funny?

Sometimes the only way we can talk about a sexual topic is to joke about it. Jake helps me break down the merits of this approach.

Sexual jokes can be funny, offensive, insightful, or all of the above. When it’s socially unacceptable to talk about a subject honestly, joking about it might be our only option. My friend Jake talks with me about what can be learned from joking in a sexual manner.

STIs Are No Joke

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are no joke. Rates of infection in the US have been rising practically every year over the last 5-10 years, and almost half of new infections are among youth aged 15-24. One in five Americans has an STI right now.

This is a conversation you need to have. If you are sexually active, or if you think you might be, please talk about this. Learn the risks, and do what you can to keep yourself protected.
